Nominate for England Athletics Volunteer awards

Nominations close soon for the 10th year of England Athletics’ volunteer awards. Each of 8 regions select winners who attend a special Regional Awards Celebration Ceremony between September and October. These winners are then entered into the National Awards, with the overall winners invited to the 2017 NationalAwards and Hall of Fame Ceremony at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday 14th October. Tributes paid to ‘legendary’ Bob Smith

“The impact of his work in the sport as a volunteer and a professional will continue to be felt and remembered” Tributes have been paid to athletics stalwart Bob Smith who has died from cancer. Smith was manager of the London Region and advised on the founding of LUCA and the London Colleges Athletics Series (now LUCA Outdoors).
