Back for 2024, the LUCA Outdoor Championships continue with the one-day format. Expect all the drama to unfold as LUCA clubs battle for the coveted LUCA Outdoor title, whilst UL clubs are eligible to compete in the UL Championship. Medical schools will for the first time have the chance to compete for the soon-to-be-unveiled UH Outdoor Trophy. The individual title, or MVP shield, is also up for grabs. Last but definitely not least, the medley relay, the ultimate test of a club’s athletic breadth, returns and with it the Medley Relay trophy.

Scoring

Both the LUCA Championship and the UL Championship (as well as the new UH Championship) are run in parallel. Athletes will score based on their club’s eligibility in each competition. All athletes are eligible to score for the MVP shield. Athletes will score points as follows:

1st = 7 points
2nd = 5 points
3rd = 4 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 2 points
6th = 1 point

All LUCA athletes will score towards the LUCA Championships.

Athletes from UL clubs (found here) can also score in the UL Championships.

Athletes representing their medical school are eligible to compete in the UH Championships.

Please note, only the top two athletes from each club will score to more fairly distribute points.

Scores will be visible on OpenTrack throughout the day – keep an eye on the site to see how your club is performing overall!
