Back for 2026, the LUCA Outdoor Championships continue with the one-day format. Expect all the drama to unfold as LUCA clubs battle for the coveted LUCA Outdoor title. The individual title, or MVP shield, is up also for grabs, as is the Medley Relay trophy, the ultimate test of a club’s athletic breadth.

Once again LUCA are partnering with OpenTrack to handle entries. Entries will open on 25th April, and will close on 24th May at midnight. Enter using this link.
Entries will be capped to ensure we run to time. Therefore do not delay entering to avoid disappointment!
LUCA club captains please ensure you have access to your clubs on OpenTrack, this will allow you to enter teams and declare relays. If you do not please email hello@london-athletics.com.
In the meantime, please use this spreadsheet to note down your athletes, you can simply copy and paste into OpenTrack on your club page once complete.

Scoring
The LUCA Championship is contested during this event – all LUCA clubs are eligible to compete for this. The UH Championship has already been contested at the Outdoor Open. All LUCA athletes are eligible to score for the MVP shield. Athletes will score points as follows:
1st = 7 points
2nd = 5 points
3rd = 4 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 2 points
6th = 1 point
All LUCA athletes will score towards the LUCA Championships.
Athletes representing their medical school are eligible to compete in the UH Championships (already contested).
Please note, only the top two athletes from each club will score to more fairly distribute points.
Scores will be visible on OpenTrack throughout the day – keep an eye on the site to see how your club is performing overall!
Guests
We welcome guests to compete. Simply head to the OpenTrack entry link and complete the entry form. Results will be linked to your Power of 10 after the event. Guest fees are listed here. Guests do not score or medal.
However, if you are from a university club within the South East or London that is not yet affiliated with LUCA but listed here you are still eligible to medal and to break any LUCA records.

Withdrawal of athletes
Withdrawal Policy – LUCA Outdoors 2026
To ensure a smooth competition day and avoid delays, all athlete entry withdrawals must be submitted by midnight, 28th May 2026.
Withdrawals must be submitted by the relevant university team captain via email to:

Please include the athlete’s full name, university and event(s).
Withdrawals submitted after the deadline may not be processed in time and could cause delays to the competition schedule. We therefore ask all team captains to review their entries carefully and submit any withdrawals promptly before the deadline.
Withdrawn athletes will still be charged. Substitutes may be allowed under the discretion of the race manager. To withdraw in advance, email hello@london-athletics.com.
