Essex Blades Announce Open Meet

Essex Blades Athletics Club have teamed up with Colchester Harriers and Colchester and Tendering Athletics Club to host the Colchester Athletics Open Meet Outdoor Games.  The open meet will be held at Garrison Track on Sunday January 24th 2016. Events on offer include; : 100m, 110m Hurdles, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 4X200m Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Shot Put. All results will be added to power of ten. Council meeting announced

          LUCA is run by a council of its members, comprised of two delegates from each member club. They are joined by members of the executive and representatives from the Youth Advisory Group and London Athletics. The council will meet for the second time on the 20th of January 2016. Delegates will be treated to refreshments as they arrive at Student Central, Mallet Street at 7pm. Roehampton become the first LUCA focus club

LUCA is proud to announce that the University of Roehampton have become the first LUCA focus club. The scheme was launched this year with support from England Athletics, London region. The aim of the scheme is to support new clubs through funding, discounts, training and connections. Roehampton made LUCA history when Jonny Cornish became the first man to win a LUCA medal when he took gold at in the 10, 000m at the first ever London Colleges Athletics Series (LCAS) match at Tooting in March 2015. London Sports Trust become official charitable partner

LUCA announces London Sports Trust as official charitable partner LUCA is proud to announce its first charitable partner; the London Sports Trust (LST). LST are a sports and education charity based in West London. They engage with hard to reach young Londoners through sports, life skills and mentoring. LCL affiliation price freeze

LUCA is pleased to announce the fee’s for the London Colleges League (LCL) have been held at the 2014-15 rates. The largest clubs will pay a £100 fee which covers all athletes across all five races. Smaller clubs pay either £75 or £45 dependent on the amount of athletes. Guests are charged £3 per race. Whilst the fee’s have remained the same, the amount of races has been cut to five.
