Group tickets released for London Students’ Run

Running is more fun together. That’s the message behind the release of a new ticket category for the London Students’ Run. Groups of four can sign up for just £10 each + booking fee for either the 5 or 10K run. The price deal makes the London Students’ Run the cheapest chip timed run in London. The event will be held in London’s Victoria Park on the 25th March. London to host new athletics World Cup

London Stadium will play host to a groundbreaking athletics competition in July, with the venue hosting the newly-launched Athletics World Cup London 2018. Staged over two floodlit sessions on 14 & 15 July, Great Britain and Northern Ireland will compete against the USA, Poland, Germany, France, Jamaica and South Africa in track and field events. Fully funded officials course opens

LUCA is providing a fully funded officials course for its members. The course will take place on Saturday 10th March 2018 at Guy’s Campus, King’s College London. The £70 fee will be covered in full by LUCA in return for officiating at two LUCA Outdoors Meets in the 2017-18 season. To apply for funding and find out more, click here. Funding will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Brunel host BUCS Cross Country

Tomorrow, Brunel will host the National BUCS Cross Country Championships.  The race takes place at Hillingdon fields. Women will race first at midday with Brunel and Team GB athlete Phillipa Bowden hoping to make the most of the home advantage. The Brunel Psychology student has had a unfaltering start in the LUCA XC league, winning every race. She will face stiff competition from in-form Jess Judd who finished third last year to Rebecca Murray and Emily Hosker-Thornhill, but has since won the National and Inter Counties championships.
