RVC’s Hawkshead Hobble returns

The Hawkshead Hobble will be hosted by the Royal Veterinary College Triathlon Club on 8th March 2020. With more tickets available than ever before, we invite you all to join us in achieving our goal of raising £1000 for the Potters Bar Foodbank.

Race 5km or 10km through rural Hertfordshire. Our diverse field of runners means there will be something for everyone – attempt to beat our newly established course records, or set this as a personal challenge for the end of ‘Couch to 5k’. Both seasoned XC competitors and beginner runners will feel at home, united in supporting our local community.

Our looped course is the ultimate cross country experience: muddy trails, woodlands and cowpats. Sprint between kissing gates, loop through the fields and up the final incline before grabbing a drink and doing it all again (if you can!). If you fancy taking the event more slowly, or even walking, then enjoy the beautiful rural views across rolling fields with grazing livestock.

Our event headquarters has even more to offer. Once you’ve collected your cow bell medal (a proud RVC tradition!), you can enjoy a free post-race sports massage and grab a slice of cake at the charity bake sale. There will also be a collection point for the Potters Bar Foodbank – an email will be sent out to entrants with a list of food items in short supply.

This beautiful campus, complete with dairy farm and alpacas, is only six minutes on the train from Kings Cross. From Potters Bar Station, enjoy a 30-minute stroll down the railway line – this will give you an idea of race terrain and the perfect opportunity to warm up. We will have a free shuttle bus service back to the station at the end of the event.
