King’s win Outdoor Series Championship

King’s won the fourth Outdoor Series Championship at a warm sunny day in Battersea.

Knowing that the outdoor series title was pretty much in the bag, this meet was all about winning the University of London championship as well. King’s didn’t want to become the first team not to win the double of LUCA and UL championships.

Throughout the day, the title position oscillated between UCL and King’s. But the relay’s changed it all. King’s took first place in the men’s and women’s 4X100 and 4X400. The UL title was now out UCL’s reach.

Individual’s impress

This was also a day for strong individual performances. RVC’s Daniel Cork helped his team into third in the UL standings. Alex Mundell (ICL), who came second in the MVP rankings with 62 points, lead her team into second on the day and just 8.5 points behind second place UCL in the series standings.

But the stand out individual of the series has to Kerstin Pohlmann. Her 73 points across the series made her the LUCA series MVP.
