Change of venue announced for second LUCA outdoor series meet

 

The second meet of the LUCA Outdoor Series will now be held at Woodford Athletics Track.

The meet had been scheduled to take place at Newham on the 9th April, but due to a double booking, the meet has relocated to Woodford. The date remains the same.

Woodfood athletics track is based at Ashton Playing Fields, which is accessible on the Central Line (nearest stop: Woodford)

All events except steeplechase and pole vault have been confirmed. Event organisers are hoping to have these events confirmed by Monday.

If steeplechase cannot go ahead, double points will be awarded at the final at Battersea.

Entries will close next Thursday 6th, April.

UCL are currently leading the series by 51 points. There are over 400 points available in the rest of the series.

The meet also includes the ‘Multi-event challenge’ which is the special event. Competitors pick up IAAF heptathlon/decathlon points to decide the overall winner of the multi-event.

Events include;

Men – 100m, 1500m, High Jump, Shot Put
Women – 200m, 800m, High Jump, Shot Put

Competitors will also be eligible to score in the individual events that make up the multi-event challenge. Entry to the multi-event is £12 (i.e, 4 for the price of 3).
