Limited tickets left for London Students Run X Love Trails Festival

Tickets for the 10K are still available, but the 5K is now SOLD OUT. The London Students Run, presented by Love Trails Festival will take place this Sunday in Victoria Park. Weather conditions are forecast to be ideal and over 200 runners have registered across both races. Route Confirmed: London Students Run X Love Trails Festival

Routes have been confirmed for Sunday’s London Students Run, presented by Love Trails Festival. Both routes can be found on the race website. The routes have minimal incline and take runners around all the way around the gorgeous Victoria Park. Conditions for the run are set to be perfect, despite the recent snow leading to the cancellation of the first Outdoor Series Meet. The RVC Hawkshead Hobble is back. Challenge yourself on either the 5km or 10km trail routes that will lead you through the undulating, bluebell filled woods surrounding the RVC’s Hawkshead Campus.   Held on Sunday 8th of April, the profits made from this event will be divided between two incredible charities: Nowzad, a volunteer run charity who provide care and shelter for animals caught in war zones. IMPORTANT: Due to the adverse weather forecast for tomorrow, we have made the decision to CANCEL tomorrow’s LUCA Outdoor Series meet at Parliament Hill. We have been in constant communication with Parliament Hill to try and find ways to reduce the risk associated with the ice, snow and high winds that have been forecast. Sir Roger Bannister dies aged 88

Sir Roger Bannister, the first person to run a mile in under four minutes, has died at the age of 88. Sir Roger, who was knighted in 1975, had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease since 2011. The challenge of running one mile in four minutes was considered impossible by many experts. So when Bannister achieved it, at Iffley Road track in Oxford, it was described as the Everest of athletics. His record stood for just 46 days.
