St Mary’s and Newham will host the first and second outdoor meets of the 2017 outdoor series for the first time.
The dates and venues were confirmed at a meeting of club captains last night.
Captains gathered at Student Central to vote on proposals at the 5th meeting of the LUCA Council of Members.
The council also voted to create a new the University of London Outdoor Championship, which will be nested within the final Outdoor Series meet at the Millennium Arena, Battersea.
Battersea has hosted the final since the first Outdoor Series in 2015.

Previously known as the London Colleges Athletics Series (LCAS), the LUCA Outdoor Series is an outdoor track and field league held across three meets.
Athletes compete for individual success by picking up points in their events. These points are also added to their university’s total. The university with the most points wins the LUCA Outdoor Series championship.
There will be the return of the 400 hurdles and race organisers are looking at adding Pole Vault and Hammer.
Further changes to the series include a limit on the amount of scoring athletes from each club. Only the top two athletes in a race from the same club will score.
The dates and venues for 2017 are:
St Mary’s, Twickenham – Saturday March 18th
Newham Sunday April 9th
Battersea – Saturday May 27th
