UL XC Champs and Bannister Cup Results

Duncan Tomlin and Charlie Haywood battle each other - and the combined forces of St Mary's - as they race for the UL XC champs title.

Two hundred runners turned up on Wednesday afternoon to tackle the gauntlet of the Wimbledon Common XC course, many of whom were also competing in the UL and  UH champs that takes part alongside this LCL race. Following a hasty post-race retreat before the rain arrived a well attended prize giving ceremony was held in the Rose and Crown – much to the delight of all who attended. For those of you who couldn’t make it, here are the top results from the afternoon competitions:

 

UL Champs, Mens Individual

  • 1st: Duncan Tomlin (UL)
  • 2nd: Charlie Haywood (UCL)
  • 3rd: Amrik Gill (LSE)

UL Champs, Womens Individual

  • 1st: Emma Dixon (RVC)
  • 2nd: Hannah Viner (KCL)
  • 3rd: Emma Butcher (UCL)

UL Champs, Mens Team

  • 1st: UCL
  • 2nd: LSE
  • 3rd: Imperial

UL Champs, Womens Team

  • 1st: UCL
  • 2nd: RVC
  • 3rd: KCL

Bannister Cup Winners (UH)

  • Barts

 

Full results for both champs and the 3rd round of the London Colleges League will be available in the coming days.

Mitcham Common LCL: Results Now Online

Results from the second round of the 2016/17 London College League Cross Country Race at Mitcham Common can now be found on the results page, along with overall team and individual standings. 164 Athletes turned up to represent their colleges on what was a bright and sunny – if cold – day. Congratulations to Paulos Surafel and Emma Dixon who won the mens’ and womens’ races respectively and well done to everyone who competed. See you again in two weeks time for Wimbledon! Night of the 10kms 2017 is almost upon us!

  The only lane 3 beer ‘n cheer in the world is soon to be here. On the 20th May 2017, London’s Parliament hill athletic track is holding their annual ‘Night of the 10,000m’ event.
