London clubs showed their strength with a total haul of 22 medals.
UEL topped the London BUCS medal table with 3 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
However, Brunel were placed higher then any other LUCA club by finishing 6th in the combined team ranking.
It was also the first time that Essex and King’s College had sent teams to the championships.

King’s took home three medals including 200m Gold for European 400m junior champion, Laviai Neilsen.
“It gives me confidence. My last championships were European juniors so I’ve been quite nervous about doing one this year” Said Neilsen.
There was a personal triumph for UEL’s Lorn Mayers who achieved Paralympic qualifying standard in the shot put. Read his inspiring story here.
