Governance
The LUCA Constitution sets out the formal structure, purpose, and governance rules of London Universities and Colleges Athletics (LUCA). It defines how we operate as an aspiring charitable organisation, how decisions are made, and the rights and responsibilities of our members, trustees, and executive committee.
LUCA is working towards Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registration in England and Wales. As a CIO, we will become governed by this constitution in accordance with the requirements of the Charity Commission.
What the Constitution Covers
The constitution includes:
- LUCA’s charitable objects (our legal purpose)
- Roles and responsibilities of the trustees and executive committee
- How elections, meetings, and decisions are conducted
- Financial and membership procedures
- Powers to collaborate with other organisations
- Processes for making changes to the constitution
