Route

The race starts at the end of the bottom horizontal red line and proceeds to point (1), so almost the old route in reverse up to this stage. At point (2) on the route, all runners will turn right and head towards Sandy Lane, on reaching which runners turn left and follow the old course in reverse again until reaching the corner of Nightingale Lane, at point (6). Upon returning to point (2), WOMEN WILL TURN A SHARP RIGHT towards the Heron Pond and finish and MEN WILL TURN LEFT towards Sandy Lane complete a second loop. Upon completion of this loop and returning to point (2) men will then turn the sharp right and continue to the finish. The distance is around 4.95k for women and 7.2k for men.

There will again be a divided funnel, on which MEN WILL FINISH ON THE LEFT and WOMEN ON THE RIGHT.

Terrain

Mostly gravel path and road. Spikes are not suitable.

There are toilets located at the play area, a 1 minute jog from the start.

Travel

Bushy Park is accessible by train and bus. The postcode for Sat-Navs is TW11 0EQ, but note this is for guidance only as the park covers a large area. Parking and disabled parking available.

By Train

From Waterloo to Teddington/Hampton Wick/Hampton Court – 5 to 10 minute walk, entering the park through the Sandy Lane Gates.

By Bus

  • 111 Kingston – Heathrow
  • 216 Kingston – Staines
  • 411 Kingston – West Molsey
  • 465 Sandy Lane – Fulwell
  • X26 Express service Heathrow – Croydon
  • R68 Hampton Court – Richmond

Hampton Court Gate off Hampton Court Road and Teddington Gate off Sandy Lane.

By Car

There are four car parks within Bushy Park and these are clearly marked on the Bushy Park map.

Alternatively you can use Clapperstile car park – accessible from Queens Road, Teddington – and then enter Bushy Park on foot via Clapperstile Gate.

Remember, do not park on the roads or grassland.
