The LUCA Awards Are Back

The LUCA Awards return this year to celebrate the people who make our community special.

Across London, the South East and the East of England, hundreds of student athletes take part in LUCA competitions each year. But LUCA is about far more than race results. Behind every competition are athletes pushing themselves to improve, committee members organising their clubs, volunteers giving their time, and coaches supporting athletes week after week.

The LUCA Awards recognise the dedication, passion and effort that make university athletics such a vibrant community.

The awards will be announced at a ceremony at Bush House, KCL on the 31st May.

Two Types of Awards

The awards are split into two categories.

Club Nominated Awards

These awards are nominated by university athletics clubs, recognising outstanding contributions within the LUCA community. Clubs may nominate individuals who have made a significant impact through their performances, leadership, volunteering, or coaching.

Individual Nominated Awards

These awards are nominated by members of the LUCA community. Athletes, volunteers and committee members can nominate individuals who they believe deserve recognition for their contribution during the year. You can nominate anyone across the LUCA community – even members of other clubs.

Celebrating the LUCA Community

The LUCA Awards celebrate excellence in many forms, from standout athletic performances to the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep clubs and competitions running.
