The LUCA Awards are BACK! Our awards are about celebrating the achievements of members of the LUCA community. Athletes, club committee members, officials and coaches all play a massive role in everything we do. The LUCA awards celebrate the effort, dedication and passion of these people. To win a LUCA award is to win the recognition of a community 3704 strong.
Our awards are split into two categories – club nominated awards and individual nominated awards.
Club nominated awards recognise outstanding contributions across LUCA clubs. Each member club may submit nominations for athletes, volunteers, coaches and the club itself. These awards celebrate performance, improvement, leadership and the collective strength of the university athletics community. One nomination per club will be accepted.
Individual nominated awards recognise the people who make clubs thrive behind the scenes. Any LUCA member can submit a nomination for these awards, recognising exceptional leadership, commitment and contribution to their club and the wider LUCA community.
All nominations are reviewed by the LUCA Board of Trustees and Executive Committee who assess nominations based on achievement, impact, contribution and the spirit of LUCA. Shortlists may be created where nomination numbers are high.
