The Board of Trustees is the governing body of LUCA. Members are appointed for meritorious service to University athletics in London.


Arthur Wadsworth, Chairman of the Board

Arthur Wadsworth (LSE) was the organiser of the University of London Athletics Championships (ULAC) until 2015. He has been heavily involved in the athletics club at the London School of Economics and is a keen cross country runner. Arthur advised on the formation and format of the London Colleges Athletics Series in 2015 and was a crucial figure in the founding of LUCA.

Timothy Howells
RUN! London Project Manager

Tim is a keen cross country runner and works for England Athletics, London Region. His main responsibility at London Athletics is the RUN! project, aimed at getting more people into athletics. Tim was an immense help when LCAS was founded in 2014/15. For his work in supporting LCAS and LUCA, he was invited to be a trustee.







Barrington King
GB Masters Athlete and Coach

Barrington King is a long standing friend and supporter of university athletics in London. He has helped officiate at the Indoor Champs and provided coaching for King’s College London. He is a very accomplished athlete, representing GB at masters level. He is also a coach and has a small training group in north west London. For his support of university athletics in officiating and coaching, he was invited to become a trustee.







Emma Watkins
Imperial College London Graduate

Emma has been a member of Belgrave Harriers since the start of her degree. Emma was keen to enhance the student athletics experience and thus became a founding member of the LCAS committee. She has not only been involved in the organisation of London wide student athletics but also a regular coach and attendant at both university and Belgrave Harrier sprint sessions. For her outstanding work on the LCAS committee and her dedication to Imperial athletics and Belgrave, she was invited to become a trustee.








Ming Wang-Koh
Previous LCL Chairman

Between Mike Baggs and Jonny Laybourn, the organisation of the LCL fell down to Ming Wang-Koh. Ming, a student of Imperial College London, was a keen XC runner and academic. He lead the league and for his commitment to his college club and the league, he was invited to be a trustee.







Mick Bond

Mick Bond is the Manager of Lee Valley Athletics Centre. He’s always been passionate about athletics but he was injured as a teenager so he never became a top athlete himself. He took the opportunity to combine his talents as a manager with the sport he loves. Mick has been a keen supporter of university athletics and provided us with fantastic support during our events at Lee Valley. For his excellent work and support, he was invited to be a trustee of LUCA.
