Thanks to Kings College for marking the course: it was shorter than normal as
they wanted to avoid a tree that had fallen across one of the paths, but did not
realise quite how much they had reduced the distance by.
Thanks also to Richard England for standing on the corner where the the course
took a different route from normal, Peter Saw for timekeeping, and to Dave
Mulvee for issuing discs.
Fourth League Race
At the moment I am still hoping that this race will be held in Trent Park on
Wednesday 4th December at 3.15pm, but I am awaiting a response to a five page
application form I had to send to the London Borough of Enfield. I have asked
the University of London Cross Country Club to place further information about
this race on their web site (www.ulathletics.co.uk/crosscountry) and on the
London Colleges League website (www.ulathletics.co.uk/crosscountry/lcl): I will
use it to let you know both if the race cannot go ahead, or if it can, so please
check it. If you are unable to access it, then please phone me. If you are using
public transport, the nearest Underground station is Oakwood (Piccadilly Line),
and the entrance to a drive to the park, and Middlesex University, is virtually
opposite the station exit. It is a 10 minute walk to the race start.
