James is the founder of the London Colleges Athletics Series (LCAS) and co-founder of LUCA. During his time at King’s College, he held roles as Athletics Captain, Senior Athletics Captain, President and President of the University of London Athletics Club (ULAC). For his work with ULAC and LUCA, he was awarded an Honory Life Membership of the University of London and the BUCS Chris Potter Sports Scholarship. As a sprinter at King’s, his preferred event was the 200m but he decided to give up competitive athletics to focus on coaching and leading LUCA. He is passionate about developing athletics at universities to increase participation and performance. James is currently a teaching fellow in Psychology at King’s College London and is finishing a PhD in pharmacological neuroimaging.
