Season Finale – Battersea Park – 24 May 2020 – CANCELLED
**Due to advice from England Athletics on COVID-19, we have had to cancel this event.**
The third and final match to decide the overall victors of the LUCA Outdoor Series 2020 will be held at Battersea Park on Sunday 24th May. There’s all to play for with the team trophy, individual titles, the Medley Relay Championship Event and the MVP Shield!
The third meet also features third championship event: the Relay Medley. This event is a 2×200, 2×400, 2x800m race, which requires teams of 3 women and 3 men, with a 1 woman and 1 man for each distance. The order will be run shortest to longest distance.
As well as wrapping up the LUCA Outdoor Series team and individual titles, this match also incoporates the University of London Outdoor Championships, a competition for clubs within LUCA that are part of the university of London. Scores will be extracted from the races and added to team totals throughout the day. There are no individual medals for the UofL Champs.
The races will be electronically timed and the event will be overseen by qualified officials. As always, the series stands a fantastic opportunity for those looking to try out athletics events for the first time as well as those looking to improve their times, heights or distances.
Don’t forget Alumni are welcome at our events and can compete as part of our Alumni Club – Motspur AC – find out more here.
