LUCA has established an alumni club for all graduates of a university affiliated with the organisation.
The new club will be called ‘Motspur Athletics Club’ in honor of the former University of London Athletics Stadium; Motspur Park. In order to signify that all former club members (and not just those of the University of London) can join Motspur AC, the club’s crest includes the waves of the Greater London crest.
Motspur will be an ‘online club’ and will allow members to continue their connection with the university athletics scene in London. Motspur will also directly fund the LUCA member clubs by donating 50% of membership fees to LUCA clubs. The donation figure depends on the amount of members from each club.
At first, training sessions will not be offered. However, it is hoped that LUCA will be able to negotiate with other clubs to allow Motspur AC athletes to train with them.
The membership application section of the new Motspur website is still under construction to allow membership fee’s to be paid online. Fee’s will be £20 + EA affiliation if required.
For now, the website has a ‘supporter’ membership option which is free. Please sign up to receive regular updates.

LUCA will be hosting an open forum evening at 730 on Wednesday 13th July at Student Central, Malet Street. This is for everyone who is interested in the new club to share their ideas and vote on a committee.
