Looking after your physical health and mental well-being is important as a student and an athlete.

All of our members have access to internal and external services to manage your well-being throughout university.

The NHS website ‘Student Health’ has lots of information and tips for living healthily, including information about eating well, stress, smoking, alcohol in moderation, drugs, sexual health and general well-being.

Be aware of the effects of alcohol on yourself and others: www.drinkaware.co.uk/

You can refer to NHS Choices under ‘find a local health service’ for details of local surgeries that they can apply to register with. Just type in your postcode and you can find the nearest doctor/dentist to your home.

Doctors are only allowed to register you if you live in their catchment area, so please be aware if you move during your studies, you may need to re-register several times, depending on where you move.

Many universities have their own health centers with GP surgery’s.

Use the directory below to find the service you need.
